On my last jaunt to the grocery store, I bought one of those little tubs of chicken liver for the cat. He's still recuperating from what was probably some sort of intestinal blockage, and I'm trying to feed him extra special stuff (and learning a lot about the raw food movement for pets, in the process).
So, this evening, I was chopping up some of the liver, and I noticed that in the center of the package are a couple of extremely pale, and unusually firm chicken livers.
So are they actually chicken livers, or another chicken part? If they're chicken livers, is something wrong with them?
Anyone have any ideas?
