Dude!

LibraryThing, which I already love with a ridiculous passion (and a lifetime membership), now has mobile functionality. Check it out.

I think I only have around half of our library cataloged at this point (a good chunk of which I did yesterday), and most is not yet tagged. But I work on it, in calm moments.

Is this a program that allows you to scan in the information from an ISBN code? Or do you have to do manual entry?

Totally scanable. You can also import from all sorts of formats. I did the bulk of our scifi by sitting in front of the shelf with a cuecat, pointing the cuecat to a text file, and uploading the text file full of ISBNs. You'll find the occasional one it can't find, for one reason or another, and those typically have to be entered manually...but otherwise it can be super-automatic!

(Also, annoyingly, many of the barcodes on the *outside* of the books were more generic author info, and to get the specific book, I had to use the barcode on the inside cover).

Thanks. Zorba's been wanting to do tis with his library, but the programs he'd found before were either inadequate or too expensive. I'll aim him at this.
